“The price was excellent for our stay. We visited Starved Rock State Park which was about a 20-minute drive from this location. Culvers and Starbucks are next door. There's a really good Mexican restaurant very close by. The bed was comfortable. We had a fridge. The room did smell like curry and the breakfast was very bland, no protein, but lots of carb choices available. Definitely not the way Expedia described it in the advertisement. You may not want to rely on the breakfast there to satisfy...

“The staff made this property! It’s “budget” so you have to expect that it’s older and a little run down, but the staff were phenomenal! Our first night we came in late after a long day of travel, he really took good care of us, treating us special. It was the best service we had all day long. Every day was a repeat. Little kindnesses that made us feel valued. It’s rare to get that level of care.”

“The room I had was great for traveling with dogs as I got a bottom floor room. However, everything smelled like chemicals. Not like freshly cleaned but almost like a garage. Even the bedding had a smell. The bathtub looked newer and the fixtures were new and clean. The floor was cracked and dirty. Breakfast was good and the area to eat was clean. Great location and good value but one night stay was prob the right amount of time to spend there.”
