“We had a wonderful holiday at Gîte Poiriers!The communication was excellent, and Francine and Bruno gave us a very friendly welcome with delicious cookies and a lovely bottle of rosé. Everything we needed for a pleasant stay was provided: the garden is nice and spacious, and there was plenty of play equipment (balls, ping-pong table, pétanque, hammock).The swimming pool is also excellent, and it can be neatly enclosed for small children. “Property homely, comfortable and peaceful. Adjoining hosts wine growing & tasting business sampling is a must. Plenty of opportunities to walk around the area/vineyards, or take trips to the many fairly close château. The hosts are friendly mostly only French spoken, but we were able to communicate with a few words. A very good place to stay.”

“The gite was super clean with comfortable beds. A lot of thought has been put into the layout. I really appreciated that ventilation had been put into the kitchen and downstairs bedroom, meaning that damp wasn't an issue, as it can sometimes be in old properties. The garden is fantastic, with half shade, half sun and there is garden furniture for both eating and relaxing. One thing to note is that wi-fi isn't available in the gite itself. Wi-fi is available in the owners' hotel, next door. ...

“M et Mme Volerit nous ont accueillis avec beaucoup de gentillesse autour d'un verre de leur vin. Ils nous ont emmenés découvrir la campagne environnante en vélo, nous ont fait profiter de leurs légumes de leur jardin. Nous avons aussi visiter les anciens lieux de vinification. Tout était agréable, la piscine à 30 degrés, le terrain de pétanque, le baby foot et la table de ping pong. Sans oublier la flikker que M Volerit nous a fait découvrir. ”
