I had a small accident and broke my foot, the hosts were so helpful and really went out of their way. Everything I needed was there and it was easily accessible to the city center. “Cashed in some one key points for night away . Took the scenic route from Gateshead and visited Richmond , Aysgarth Falls , Grassington and Thirsk on the way . Had a couple of beers in the beer garden , freshened up then a gorgeous meal in the orangery. So glad we had booked as they were turning people away ! The staff were excellent- friendly , courteous and attentive. Lovely relaxing night away , helped by the English heatwave .”

“The hotel is located a 15 minute walk into the city but with some restaurants and pubs close bye. It is very clean and well maintained. The breakfast was excellent and so were the staff. Our room was small but adequate and very clean. We would stay there again.”

The staff are lovely and helpful and the hotel was so Christmassy! This is my second stay and I will be staying again on my next trip to York.”
