“L' hotel è fisicamente sepsrato dalla reception che si trova all'interno di un pub. Per fare la prima colazione (le foto sono ingannevoli!) devi attraversare un piazzale. Se piove son problemi. Hotel adatto per una notte e via. Tutto sommato pulito. Trenta minuti per avere asse e ferro da stiro, ma alla fine è arrivato.”

“Staff were by and large very helpful. A request for boiled eggs was treated very poorly at night but at breakfast it was no problem. Room very good but odd bits dusty. Bed large and comfortable. False alarm at 2.30am not only not welcome but not managed well by staff member. Food only average. Decor lovely. Big car park. Wanted to like the place but of the 4 hotels in the group we have visited this was the worst.”

“I really enjoyed my one night stay at Y Pengwern. The bar was friendly when we checked in, and when I was shown my room was amazed at how big it was. I was backpacking and there was plenty of room to reorganise my kit, and the bed was large and very comfortable. After a long day's walk we were looking forward to food, and were very happy with the big hearty meals we had in the restaurant. Breakfast was continental (although you could pay to have a cooked breakfast) but the continental on...

“Birreria molto bella (dentro e fuori) e anche il salone per la colazioni. Le camere pero scomode da raggiungere con corridoi labirintici, finestra senza vista e arredamento triste e con un po di odore. Anche il bagno molto bruttino. Sopravvalutato”

“Such a unique place to stay. The pub has amazing food; loved getting breakfast in the morning. Everything was super easy. Would’ve loved some amenities in the room for us to store and heat up food, but still a lovely room.”

“Non mi sento di consigliarlo e i giudizi complessivi dovrebbero essere molto piu bassi dato che è molto vecchio con koquette, odore di stantio e la colaxiobe veramente da mensa con poche cose curate make e che non vengono nemmeno rifornite se finiscono. Cameruere anche un po villane. Meglio andare in un b&b”

“Great and helpful staff, really good beers and food, air con in the bar area which was fantastic after a hot day hiking. Superb location for Moel Siabod. A few teething problems as we attended after a revamp, staff were very keen to help attend to these. Only improvement is the quality of the packed lunches, which were a little uninspiring for £12.50!”

“We stayed for 3 nights which was just about right and stayed at the King Deluxe room that was big and spacious. The staff were very attentive and helpful were ever it was need. The breakfast was nice but repetitive, and dinner was nice too. We had a spa day on the day of us leaving which was really nice (fee required). If you want to go out, there's lot to do at Conwy, sightseeing, restaurants, boat trips, castle and lots more to do. Overall we had a lovely time and would highly recommend.”
