They have information available for walks in the local area. It is in the middle of nowhere, so use the restaurant if here for a night. ”

“We had a wonderful stay at the shepards hut. The heating and lights had been put on reasy for our arrival as we were later than the check in time . Carol the owner had messaged me earlier in the day with directions which was a nice welcome. She had also given us a lovely recommendation for somewhere to eat that evening. We really enjoyed our stay. ”

“The farmhouse and surroundings are picturesques but the cleanliness could be very much improved. The laminate flooring is worn in places and the amount of rubbish found under beds and sofas was alarming. ”

“It is a lovingly extended stone cottage between a fast moving stream with a view and a country road. A very well equipped home from home , a perfect base for up to 4 ppl to explore the area. The owner is very responsive, and found her more reliable than the company managing the property.the ”
