La zona è ottima
Sicuramente la posizione dell'albergo è impagabile, in una zona molto centrale e facilmente raggiungibile con i mezzi di trasporto (volendo). Il punto negativo invece era per il servizio: abbiamo prenotato per 3 persone ed ho dovuto chiedere 4 volte! per avere un terzo set di asciugamani; la moquette in camera sarebbe da sostituire.

L'hotel risulta come posizione molto comodo! A 5 minuti a piedi dalla metro hight street Kensington. Di fronte il MC Donald's . La stanza discreta. La pulizia non sufficente..abbiamo trovato dei peli/capelli nella vasca da bagno e sul letto. Il personale invece molto accogliente e gentile .

Bed bugs
Stay was ok but I had bed bugs. I woke up with my right arm full of bites. Was staying with my baby infant. Alex for a cot 3 times and they ended up giving me one with out a mattress but with towels to compensate. Old hotel will not stay again.

La struttura è un pò vecchiotta, ma non è tanto quello. Non mi è piaciuta la pulizia delle spugne ( spesso macchiate), le lampadine fulminate e il phone che si spegneva per surriscaldamento. Personale sempre cortese e disponibile. Comoda la posizione, ottimo avere un ristorante nell'hotel a cifre abbordabili.

L’hotel gode di una posizione eccellente e questa è l’unica nota positiva. Se si chiamava la reception non rispondevano, gli asciugamani in camera erano insufficienti (eravamo in 3 ma ogni cambio ne lasciavano 2 e per avere il terzo bisognava inseguire il personale). La pulizia della camera era molto sommaria… Veramente un gran peccato perché basterebbe poco per migliorare tanto.

Ci siamo già stati altre volte con grande soddisfazione. Questa volta avevamo una camera tripla ma, nei 4 giorni di permanenza, 2 giorni abbiamo dovuto chiedere asciugamani per la terza persona e poi bagnoschiuma e carta igienica, perchè non erano attenti nel rifornire il bagno.

Could be great, but was actually disappointing
Sadly disappointing. We reserved two rooms, for our family of five. Despite reserving a double and a triple room for our daughters aged 20, 15 an 10 there was no third bed in the second room and it was not prepared until the following night. Whilst we understand the efforts made towards a sustainable stay, we felt we could have been given a change of towels when we requested it. The hotel staff was friendly and courteous, but sometimes did not understand our needs. The most alarming aspect was the overall run down conditions of the establishment and the general cleanliness of the hotel, which was obviously not sanitized to covid19 standards. Definitely not worthy of a 4 star hotel. What a shame.

All was perfect except for the cleaning service only every 3 days and upon request, not enough to ensure the usually high hygienic standard of the Copthorne Tara, an hotel were I have often sojourned and where I come back with immense pleasure.

Close to Kensington High St for the shops, and the tube into Central London, this is a great location. Parking is a bit of a chore (the car park is quite small and full of huge 4x4s badly parked) but ok we found and squeezed into a space. Expected more for the extortionate price of parking though! Hotel is huge. Clean and functional, if in need of a bit of rennovation. Room was way too hot, for me, but wife liked it. Bathroom dated but overall comfortable stay in London

We had booked a superior room which we expected to be quiet, decorated to a good standard only to find it backed onto a railway line and the room itself in need of an upgrade and decoration. It was clean however so couldn’t complain on that at all plus housekeeping staff very friendly and efficient. On checking out we had issues with payment in that we had paid in full one week prior to our arrival through Expedia. We were charged twice on two separate occasions through our credit card despite there being no outstanding balance to pay. The gentleman on the reception desk was helpful but confused as to why this had happened stating a different card had been used to pay Expedia…..I had proof to show it was the same card through showing my Expedia receipt. A manager was asked to come and help by the reception desk gentleman, however the manager was arrogant, rude and very intimidating to the member of staff in front of us and did not even acknowledge we were there experiencing issues which were not our fault. I eventually contacted a member of staff from Expedia to explain the situation as the hotel were saying the fault lay with Expedia and although the lady I spoke with was helpful I was unable to download the supporting documents to help prove my case. Unfortunately I did not catch the name of the lady trying to help as the phone line was poor but she kindly rang me back. By this time I was upset, our stay was spoiled by the issues encountered.

I stayed here for one night on a room only.deal. Very reasonably.priced considering it's fabulous location, just a short stroll from High Street Kensington tube station. The room was plenty big enough for me and could easily accommodate two people. Comfy mattress but the bed itself looked a bit 'tired' in places. Bathroom clean but shower holder broken, which I didnt spot till the morning. All in all, great value for money and with a few tweaks could be even better. Staff very polite and helpful!

Bathroom panels Brocken, air conditioning not working, someone else’s soap and pubic hair left in the shower. Also the toilet was blocked and back filled with poo! The staff have been good but the hotel Is very dated and in need of some help!

You would have thought the rooms looking onto the tracks would be better soundproofed. We heard every train that went by. The room itself was ok, the bed was comfortable, although having sockets next to bed would have been a bonus rather that the otherside of the room. The shower hose was also leaking pretty badly at the join BUT we could still have a good shower. Also i felt a little like they can't wait to be rid of you by texting AND emailing at 8am to see what time you will be checking out!! There was one thing that whilst baffled me made me laugh...there is plenty of places in the room to attach a bottle opener...Why is it in the toilet lol

This was my 3rd time of staying here. The first 2 times were one my own for work commitments, so I thought it was a good hotel and happily booked for me and my partner, but although I paid for a slightly more expensive room this time, the bed was SO uncomfortable that I doubt I will be staying there again
