“The room was great! I selected a room with the whirlpool. It worked wonderfully, from the water temperature to the pressure of the whirlpool jets. The front desk staff were friendly and helpful. When I checked in there was a line of impatient customers and the staff remained calm, professional and friendly.”

“The room was clean. It had been recently refreshed with new decor. Either the nextdoor guest or previous guest had smoked in the bathroom. The owner was very helpful in trying to clear out the smell. For the price I was pleasantly surprised by how clean and nice it was. It looks to be family owned and they are going through and remodeling/refreshing each room. Air conditioning was fabulous. Beds are comfy and linens were fresh and clean.”

“Located near lots of places to eat and gas stations. The windows don’t lock and so anyone can come into your room unannounced. I got moved from 1st to 2nd floor because of this. The windows still didn’t lock on the 2nd floor. It seems as though they are rehabbing the property. So as a night shift worker there was constant noises from this which made sleeping really difficult. Front desk staff was nice. There were no toiletries and it wasn’t a problem as we came prepared with our own. We also...

“While our room was comfortable, the bathroom was very small. We were disappointed that there was issue with pool that made it usable. They were also out of bath gel and used shampoo as a substitute. I would say that the staff went out their way to be helpful.”

“When we checked at 11:00 pm the TV didn’t work and there was a shortage of bath towels. The next morning we informed the staff and asked that the room be made up. When we returned at 10:30 pm the TV still didn’t work and no towels and the room not made up. I went to the front desk and asked for a different room. “I first want to say the owners are very nice. I do think they wanted us to feel comfortable and welcome. The house is old and beautiful, my curiosity of growing up near this property made me want to stay here instead of Hampton Inn. The access to the living and dining room was appealing because my family still lives in keokuk and we don’t have anywhere big enough to relax and visit together.
