Have stayed here the last five years, and this is the only travel vacation we take. It has been mostly adults or families. As retired seniors, we appreciate the option of the stated "quiet side" of the resort. As we have paid higher fees to stay at the Palace versus the Sante Fe, (known for college spring breakers), we were disappointed to find the quiet side pool and bar to be taken over by college kids. Nothing against them, as I did the same things they did years ago. No one from Riu Palace enforced the quiet side atmosphere. I talked with Jorge at the front desk and he told me noise was to be expected and that is the way it was. His PR abilities and a sense of "that's the way it is" attitude was something that suggested he needed to have a different staff job. I was told Riu over-booked the Sante Fe, but I can't verify it. I consider my wife and I the most loyal Riu Palace Cabo customers, and the previous four years proved that. We will not be back. It hurts because we consider many staff members friends. Riu did not control the activities that effected our experience.
