“I’ve stayed at Ocean Gate Inn several times when visiting my son at UCSC, and the staff has always been kind and professional. One thing I really appreciate is how they go above and beyond — I’ve arrived as late as 1 a.m., and they’ve called to make sure I was still coming, which shows great customer service. Sometimes I show up with two cars (mine and my son’s), and the man at the front desk always says it’s fine and never makes a big deal about it. The rooms are clean, it’s in a safe area,...

“The room was clean and a good size. It didn’t feel small. The gym was modest but functional. The downside was the restaurant was closed during the holidays so we had to eat at Parkside instead. That was a very pleasant dining experience so we weren’t disappointed. The proximity of the hotel to downtown Los Gatos was ideal. We walked everywhere and thoroughly enjoyed it. All in all a fantastic stay and we look forward to returning, especially when the restaurant is open. ”

“Stayed a few days with kids and little dog. Nice hotel that is close to a lot of things. The staff are very friendly. Check in was a breeze. The included breakfast was good. Included the basics but that’s all you really need. They have a nice little coffee/tea area that is available all day. Our room was clean and comfy. The shower is a little strong so be careful. If this place had a swimming pool it would be 5+. We would definitely come back though. They have a great pizza place...
