“Great location for day trips to anywhere in Pembrokeshire, especially Skomer. Overlooking the marina and only 5 minutes walk from a wide selection of good cafes and restaurants, but their own food is good too! Friendly staff. Rooms are spacious and well equipped but the bed was a little hard for me (like most hotels). Not all rooms have baths but I was able to change at no extra cost. ”

“What a great hotel! Every single member of staff was friendly and helpful. The family room (for me, my husband and my two uni-aged kids) was spacious and spotless. The bathroom gleaming clean. The mattresses were very comfortable, soft and hard pillows provided, beautifully laundered bed linen too. Little details -- like the hairdryer attached to the mirror, and a standing fan (which we had to use as it was a hot night), and a fridge -- showed that the management are really thinking about...

“Booked a family room and wasn't disappointed a double with two singles with plenty of space, this hotel is brilliant staff where excellent & the cleaners deserve a mention the hotel is kept spotless.we had a brilliant four nights great family walks outside the hotel which includes seal & dolphin watching. “Great communication, easy self check in, clean spacious room with great sea view as described. Modern room with space utilised really well. Love the heated mirror in the bathroom! Comfortable bed and pillows (we snoozed our alarm!) Super soft towels. Tea and coffee great and nice touch with a bottle of cold water and Breakfast tray. 100% recommend and would definitely stay again!! Thank you!”

“This is a fantsstic property. Plenty of communication before-hand. Music plays to welcome you (as it's a self-check in), the place is very clean and everything you need is included. It is a shame that no-one is there to provide breakfast & that you have a continental breakfast tray instead but we would certainly recommend The Highcliffe.”

“Obviously a lot of effort has been made by the new owners to create a comfortable and upgraded environment. They are working hard and constantly on what was obviously a worn down building. Looking out from the room the gardens and view is spectacular. The room was large and comfy with great, instant hot water and lovely deep bath. Authentic home cooked curry was delicious.”

“Really enjoyable stay. Hotel and rooms have been modernised and look great, aside from a few creaky floorboards! Very quiet when we stayed (missed the nightclub by one day fortunately). Perfect location for the town, castle, river, etc. Knocked off a mark for service as there's not a lot of staff around, but you can call for help if needed (but we didn't need to as it happened).”
