Motel a Marion

“When we arrived, there were problems with the room and the staff that was on the premises did what they could to fix things. We were booked to stay two nights so we spoke with the manager the next morning and while we were out, he got everything fixed. The Western Inn is a family owned hotel and they are in the process of renovating. From what we have seen, they are doing a great job. The staff is friendly and helpful. The rooms are a nice size. Ours had a big TV, refrigerator and...

“Had to stand in the non-air conditioned lobby and wait for the attendant to take care of my reservation, which she could not find spent 3 minutes in sweaty heat before I just opened up the door and went outside upon moving into a room, open door and a cockroach ran out that I killed. Went back downstairs and requested another room”

“terrible experience”

“Pleasantly surprised with my room. It was recently painted, new flooring in the bathroom and sink area. Furniture was older and worn, but bed was comfortable. For a no frills stay it was quite and comfortable.”

“Our company sent its employees to this hotel. They travel from state to state all year and spend 45 weeks a year in hotels around the south. This hotel by far in the last 13 years is the worst hotel that they have ever been assigned. On line it sounds fine but upon arrival it has armed guards you have to ask to come and go, its like a prison in more ways than one. They checked in and then 1 hour later checked out. They feared for their personal safety and the rooms are an absolute disgusting...

“I have no words.”

“Place was dirty outside near the registration window. Rooms had old/dirty sheets that have not been replaced. The room smelled of mildew on the rugs and bedspread. The floors had dead roaches and spiders on them. Toilet had dirty rings and smelled awful. I could not stay a full night in the place. I got there at 1:00 am and got up at 5am. I leaned back in a chair for a while and did not come back. Please do not go here it is one of the worst places I've been. Very nasty.”

“Rooms was said to be updated, but a coat of paint is not updated. Shower had mold above it. Towels looked to not be washed, they looked dirty and didn’t smell much better. One bed was missing a pillow. The refrigerator was the cleanest part of the room”
