“The hotel is outdated, but clean. Breakfast was only take and go. Plenty of good coffee though. It's located in a great area - plenty of shopping and restaurants. The major drawback was the parking lot. It appeared to be a drug dealing location. I didn't feel safe taking my dog out for a bathroom break. I did see the manager come out and talk to the individuals there. The doors had to be pulled shut - they did not completely close on their own.”

“Stairway floors were dirty, large clumps of dried mud on the carpet. Bathroom walls poorly painted with areas around fixtures unpainted. Trim around bathroom door had dirty hand prints on them. Refrigerator had heavy layer of frost. Light switch was wired backward.”

“For the first time in all my years using Expedia, we learned that we were double booked the evening before we were to leave for Mason City, IA. Of the three nights we booked we were told that we could stay the first and second night but not the third. We were offered either a two day stay or a refund. We chose the refund. Six days later, it took a call to Expedia to have the refund processed. I was able to reference the IM exchanges with the B&B on the Expedia platform to document the events....

“Wonderful country get-away! Rooms were clean and quaint. The farm was so fun to explore with lots of recycled metal sculptures throughout. Cute and friendly farm cats were a wonderful surprise! The hot breakfast (egg bake, warm Bundt coffee cake and fresh cut Georgia peaches) was the best breakfast I’ve had in a LONG time. Hosts sat with us during breakfast and shared amazing stories of the farm and their family. It was such a warm and personal end to the trip. I highly recommend The Cupola...

“Room was clean, but clearly had years of smokers in it. Reeked of cigarettes. Didn't stay, left immediately. Appeared clean, and good layout with lots of amenities. Wished it could have worked out. Owner was very responsive. Easy check-in.”
