“The hotel location is fantastic, walking trail is on the door step, it’s so beautiful and peaceful with full of buttercups in the meadowlands. Wonderful National Trust Houses and Gardens like Melford Hall, Lavenham Guildhall and Ickworth all in 30 minutes driving. Besides the sound proof is weak, room #8 is good size for a single occupancy, although I paid for a double room. Staffs are very friendly and helpful. ”

“The hotel was nice but a little tired in places. Elizabeth on reception was absoltuely amazing, really went out of her way to make our stay enjoyable and to cater to our requests. Food in the restaurant was good but unfortunately not very hot, we all had to send it back. Staff were very apologetic and sorted it out so all ok in thw end ”

“We spent a pleasant night here with a very spacious room and comfortable bed, although the bathroom felt a touch old-fashioned. Our evening meals, in the bar, were OK, nothing special, although service was quite slow, and for some reason we couldn’t use a Greene King drink voucher despite it being a Greene King pub ! “Albergo dalla conformazione un po' strana, con stanze disposte a mò di bungalow sul parcheggio esterno. Comodo set caffè o te in stanza, bagno pulito e abbastanza ampio. Staff estremamente cortese e competente. Il Borgo è carino, ma pare non foriero di particolari attrazioni. L'albergo è a una decina di km da Stansted ma servito dai mezzi pubblici solo fino ad una certa ora (bus 133) è con non grande frequenza. “It as a beautiful 1400 Grade 1-listed building, which was great, but I had problems with the shower. In my initial room the water was lukewarm at best. I was moved to another where the water was hot but the shower was weak. The staff were excellent and the breakfast was good. They had soya milk for my coffee.”
