“I loved the place and the town. The bed was very comfortable, and the tub was fun. What I liked the best was the house. There was so much to read and look at. I wish I had booked more nights. I will definitely stay again!”

“The bed was comfortable and clean. The room was cheap. That is what I was looking for. The hotel was dated and the free breakfast was adequate at best. If you are looking for what I was, a clean bed for the night, you will be happy. If you are a bit pretentious, you may want to look elsewhere.”

“We had a very clean room, spacious. No couch but was comfortable. Very clean pool area and welcoming staff. Our children were very loud in the pool area but we were still treated kindly. Breakfast was alright too. We've chosen to stay here everytime we make the trip to the House on the Rock or Cave of the Mounds because our rooms are always well cleaned and this place has many unique traits for a hotel. Very pleased.”

“The parking lot was newly surfaced. The air conditioner was easy to operate. The floor of our room was not swept. The sheets in one of the beds had little stains on them which indicated bed bugs. There were large plastic tubes mounted on the outside wall between every two room entrances with a hole cut into the top that were filthy for cigarette butts.”

“This is location fit our large group’s needs very well, the rooms were clean and comfortable, the staff was warm and friendly, the location is ideal if you are there for the APT experience and the Mexican Restaraunt was delicious. The walls were a bit thin but we managed just fine. We will definitely plan our next trip with this place in mind.”

“Perfectly located for out visit to Epic. Staff friendly and helpful. Nice breakfast selection.”

“I am asking for a Refund. We did not even stay in the property because of how disgusting and horrific it was. There was an awful smell in our room. The room looked like a prison cell the bed was against the wall with chipped paint all over. There was dirty and garbage on the bathroom floor.”

“The room was clean & comfortable. The stairs & porch needed cleaning. The room had no cup/glass for teeth brushing. Also it’s is above a coffee shop, but they don’t open on Saturday till 8 & 7 on weekdays, and there’s no in room coffee. I really needed morning coffee, but didn’t get it.”

“One of the main reasons I reserved a room here is because of the pool. When the pool is closed it should be noted before you make a reservation. The grandkids were not happy, also the bathroom needs work.”
