Expected More From Country Inn and Suites
Data di pubblicazione: 3-apr-2018
Country Inn and Suites has consistently been our go-to hotel for family travel, but the Meridian location let us down. The outside of the hotel looked nice, except at night, because 2/3 of the lights were burned out and created an unsafe feeling. The lobby and breakfast area were fine, but things went downhill again when we reached the room. The room had an overall musty feeling and the bathroom had plenty of loose and moldy sealants and caulk. Our reservation was for five people, but there were only towels for three in a room advertised for six people. We had also expected/hoped to use the pull out sleeper sofa, but a lack of sheets/blankets/pillows resulted in another trip to the front desk. When I pulled the sleeper sofa open, I was disappointed to find several of the springs that hold it together just plain gone. My 6-ft 16-yr old 130-lb son managed an uncomfortable night in the one corner that would support him. Breakfast was standard hotel fare and was OK. Room service for the one day we needed it consisted of removing every single towel from the room, not replacing a single one, not bothering to empty the trash cans, and then moving on. I made a few more trips to the front desk to get that all taken care of, and that was that. The hotel staff was friendly, but I can't say they were attentive. It seems like this hotel is on a downward slope unless some drastic changes are made by management.
