good location wih excelle facilities,astonish view

Contro: Front desk staff should be trained to support clients be confortable and relax.
Posizione: Location is good and the view astonish.
Little rude staff at front desk with very supportive people at restaurant and room cleaners.

Nice hotel, but....

Fire alarm going off at 200am in my room. Staff entered in my opinion to see if someone was smoking in the room. Working with hammers un the room above us at 815am. Did not sleep all night. Room was small, towels were scarce, no blow dryer and no slippers. I would rate this as three stars at best. Staff were friendly for the most part with the exception of invading our room at 2am. Location is not bad and breakfast was good

we booked this hotel 6 months in advance and it was paid for. When we arrive, after a long day drive, we were told that our room was not available , because someone has overstay! We were offered another hotel behind Villa Diodoro. We were very disappointed , and this event shouldn't happen in this kind of hotel if they want to keep their standing. So we would not recommend this hotel, as we cant' rate it.

Our three day stay at the end of three weeks in Italy at the Diodoro was a perfect ending to a wonderful vacation. Other than the difficulty in navigating through the pedestrian traffic to get to the hotel, is was idyllic!

Good hotel near centre

Friendly staff (happy for me to practice my Italian on them!), lots of terraces to sit out on during the day and the evening and an easy walk to restaurants and shops.

A lovely hotel in a beautiful setting.

We had a lovely stay, the hotel was very comfortable with a lovely pool overlooking a beautiful bay. It has a pleasant piano bar open in the evenings. The views are stunning. I feel that the rooms would benefit from tea and coffee making facilities.

Contro: The attitude of the young woman on reception and their cavalier booking system.
OK. You get up at 2 in the morning. Bleary eyed you drive to the airport. You suffer the purgatory of budget air travel (to be fair Easyjet are better than most), you land, go through the bizarre gyrations that involve carhire in Sicily, get lost in the back streets of the Catania rush hour, you eventually find your way to Taormina where you get hopelessly lost because your sat nav doesn't realise your hotel is in the centre of a town virtually inaccessible to cars, you argue with irate restauranteurs because you're driving the wrong way up a pedestrian street, only to be rescued by a friendly bar owner who charmingly guides you on your way..And finally you arrive at your hotel! You stagger with your bags down the hill to reception where a young woman cheerfully informs you that the room you booked 6 weeks ago and that Expedia have confirmed twice (including phone calls from Arizona!) is NOT AVAILABLE! You can go to the other hotel HALF A MILE AWAY! But we booked it six weeks ago? Shrug..But we've been travelling for hours? Shrug..Half a mile with this luggage? Shrug...Do we get an upgrade? Shrug..Then you snap. Er, No...No I don't think so...NO...NO, NO, NO! Shrug...(reluctantly) can have the room...we'll move somebody else. What do they think they are? an airline? Now, none of the hassles of modern travel are the fault of Villa Diodoro but their rudeness and total inefficiency are! DO SOMETHING to sort out this hotel - apart from that, the stay was....OK.Nul Points

Pro: La vue, la piscine et l'emplacement
Contro: La décoration, la WIFI, le petit déjeuner, les transats de la piscine, les chambres sont trop petites, la sonorisation des chambres
A part la vue et la piscine, cet hôtel ne mérite pas ses 4 étoiles. Décoration passée, chambres petites, buffets de petits déjeuner peu varié, on entend les canalisations de WC la nuit ce qui nous réveille, les transats sont déchirés et il n'y en a pas assez, pas de wifi dans les chambres. Le prix est très élevé par rapport à la prestation.
