“We stayed at this resort by chance for one night due to starting our vacation early because of winter weather in the states. I prefer more authentic Costa Rican hotels/resorts vs a chain hotel close to the airport. While the taxi ride was more expensive, I felt it was worth it. It seemed secluded, was quiet, the rooms were extremely clean, there were thermal pools as well as a nice pool area and the included breakfast was definitely a plus! The drinks were delicious and reasonably priced! ...

“I can't say enough for what a great time we had at Kakao Lodge. I was skeptical at first since I usually like staying in my chain hotels that provide all the normal American comforts. But after staying here, my mind has totally changed. You can't describe how awesome it is to be able to see a half dozen different species of exotic frogs at night, or a sloth while eating breakfast, or tropic birds singing to you in the morning. And don't forget about breakfast. Everyday, we had homemade to order...

“Abbiamo selezionato questo hotel come punto di partenza per le nostre vacanze in quanto vicino all'aeroporto e ai vari autonoleggi. Struttura pulita e ben tenuta, con una bella piscina. Unico punto negativo il rumore della strada. Le camere sono male insonorizzate ”

“Bellissima sistemazione nel verde, ottimo rapporto qualità/prezzo, SPA incredibile (fai il bagno in una piscina immersa nella jungla!!), bel bungalow. Ci sono 12 ponti sospesi all'interno del lodge (gratis), non potete non farli, sono bellissimi, si vede tutta la foresta dall'alto! Dista 1 ora dall'ingresso al parco Rincon de la Vieja. Unico lato negativo: la cena a buffet di qualità piuttosto bassa. Uscite a cena negli hotel vicini, ce n'è a 3 km uno eccezionale (un pò caruccio, ma ne vale...
