“We were disappointed with our stay due to multiple problems. Check-in was super frustrating, we never received the expected text for mobile check-in, and when I got through on the phone they told me you can only check in through text. They can’t do it over the phone, which makes no sense in a mountain town where cell service is spotty. It took almost half an hour to get the text then go through their online system to finally get another text with the code. A creek was actively flowing directly...

“Excellent place to stay! Literally the small tv was the only drawback, but that’s a footnote. This place was way to check into, great to stay in, easily accessible to everything nearby. It’s the perfect getaway place and I can’t wait to come back multiple times this year. Huge fan.”

“The Hotel near the lake is fairly quiet. Great blinds, curtains, large bathtub in my upstairs room. WiFi didn’t work in my room, it was a slight inconvenience for me, I guess that it’s down, not strong enough or something. The room is spacious. I was very comfortable. View of the lake was nice. There was construction during my stay but it was bearable. I highly recommend booking direct and save lots!”

“It is really frustrating to book a place that doesnt accurately state amenities. The pool and hot tub both arent functioning. I shouldnt have to call a place prior to to verify that those are working. No wash cloths in room either. ”

“We knew the AC was not working during our stay but we didn’t count on the heater being on on our level hallways or the restroom area in our room (even though the thermostat said on). When we checked in our room felt like a sauna, luckily they had fans and were able to unlock the windows to let out the warmness. The water temperature in the shower kept changing from warm to extra hot and then cold. Front desk staff was average. We loved the location of the hotel. ”

“I had a very disappointing experience with Blue Horizon Lodge. The location was infested with rats, and they had gotten into our food, leaving bites and feces everywhere. It was extremely uncomfortable and unsafe. Despite not staying there after the first night, the owner refused to provide a refund and simply didn't care for customer safety. I hope the management takes immediate action to address these issues. I want to inform others so they can make an informed decision before booking here....

“My husband and I recently spent two nights in the Honeymoon Cottage to celebrate our first anniversary, and it was a wonderful experience. The grounds are incredibly charming—the pond and string lights create such a "cute" and cozy atmosphere. We absolutely loved having our own private hot tub and were impressed by the cleanliness; the cottage was tidy, and the bedding smelled fresh. The staff member who checked us in was also very welcoming. We have just two small suggestions for improvement:...

“What a joke! Expedia "overbooked" us at another unit. So, this cabin was the apparent cabin we were "upgraded" to due to the mix up. Expedia advised me they had spoken to the owners to guarantee the cabin was available. Well, guess what? When we arrived at 4pm with our tired children, melting food and tired feet, there were three men in our reserved cabin. They began to tell us they had this cabin for another night. It was booked!!! Again?? Really Expedia? I believe the owners knew they were...
