“This motel was rated exceptional. What? Clean but shabby rooms. I asked the desk clerk if there was a restaurant in the area besides Hardee’s. He said that was it. A quick Google search showed he was lying or misinformed. The next morning, at 9:15, he ignored the “Do Not Disturb” sign to tell me something incoherent about wanting to shut down the motel by 10, even though checkout was at 11. “The only place I ever dated at with a rocking toilet. And the wrong seat on the toilet. A/C unit clanked - fan was hitting something. The worst part was the big hole/depression in the mattress. Sadly, the morning person did not even offer an apology. I will never stay at a hotel/motel with outdoor entrances again.”

There were pots of dead plants on every step. There was a cat tower next to the front door, and there was feces smeared on it right at eye level.
