“A colleague of mine recommended Stavrand and so I booked it as a birthday getaway-- it was PERFECTION! Everything I wanted and more! This might just need to be an annual tradition. The only flaw was the alarm on our bedside clock going off at 6am(!) BUT I have to say, if that hadn't happened I wouldn't have gotten to sip coffee downstairs in a cozy nook while reading my book and gazing at the foggy redwoods out the big beautiful windows. “Our second time staying here and it’s always so beautiful. We love the nature, heated outdoor pools for our kiddos, complimentary yoga classes and kayaking . Just beautiful property! Only thing they didn’t have for both days we stayed was the complimentary coffee station at the lodge . They kept saying we have complimentary coffee in our rooms . ”

“I want to say don’t come here because it’s so good. Probably safe from before being overrun though as it was not crowded. The restaurant, on the other hand, is very popular which can be a problem if don’t want to leave the property. Mixed blessing there but food and cocktails are extremely good. ”

“My son and I had a great time staying here. Staff was nice and helpful. The tents are a good size, clean, and beds are comfortable with heated blankets. Nice big clean pool. It was nice to have our own fire pit to roast S’mores. Some other reviews I read were saying the bathrooms were bad but I really didn’t think so. Fire pit and picnic bench in front of each cabin. Just a few steps to Johnson’s Beach. Just a few blocks from Safeway and restaurants. La Bodeguita Mexican restaurant is a MUST.
