“The chalet was just the right size for our family of 4. It had tons of charm but all the modern conveniences. Quieter than staying at the resort and so convenient to skiing. We loved our stay and would definitely go back again.”

“We had a wonderful stay at the Bayou Chalet. We came with 2 Dads and our 2 sons for a 4 day ski race at Mt. Ellen at Sugarbush. The house was perfect for us. Clean, comfortable and a great mud room for all of our gear. We were very close to both mountain bases and a short drive to Waitsfield. John the owner was super responsive and kept checking in to make sure we were having a good time. We all said that we loved the place and would definitely come back!”

“We came away from this spot so energized and pleased that it's hard to put it in writing. Evelyn was great helping us get ready for our stay. The house was immaculate, much cleaner than many hotels I've used. And it just has so much room. It's in the perfect spot - out of the way yet not too far away so you can get to a grocery store in a few minutes. Everyone said that they would like to come back for another stay.”

“I have hesitated to write this review because we did enjoy the property. First the many good things - space and layout were awesome. 2 master suites plus 3 other bedrooms. 5 baths. Also a kids room with games and hangout space. 2 living areas and large dining room Well stocked kitchen. Location was nice and outside space was beautiful. So what didn't go well. To the owner - you need to get an electrician into the house to check outlets and switches. Many did not appear to work and lights did not...

We especially loved the open floor concept that created a great atmosphere for visiting, dining and family time. “Top shelf accommodations at the Trapp Family Guest House with all the associated amenities. Exceptional communication by owner who bent over backwards to ensure our early check-in. The chalet was spacious, clean and well-equipped including cut logs for the fireplace. The bedrooms were roomy and the the beds very comfortable which was very welcome after an enjoyable day on the slopes. The location is quiet and serene but just a few minutes drive from downtown Stowe offering a a myriad of dining...

“Very pleased with this location, everything listed was on point. Is perfect for ski trip stay and close to the bustling side of the town. Kitchen is well equiped to cook for a small group of ppl and the fireplace was effective at drying boot lining and gloves. Bathrooms had hot water and were very clean, the bedrooms have individual thermostat which worked great as some like cooler temps then others. Great views in the morning from the living room and spacious to hangout. Very welcoming host...
