“The lodge is older, but very clean with nice beds and linens. I do miss a fridge and microwave in the rooms, but the restaurant staff were very accommodating to provide hot water for my tea. The beauty surrounding the lodge is unbeatable. Love the chairs outside to sit and enjoy the quiet beauty of the lake and Sharp Top. Such a peaceful place! We enjoyed hiking on the many trails right here. Hope to come back!!”

“No matter what room you are assigned, you can pull right up to your door, even on the second floor! They have designed a driveway to go up to the second level, so no stairs. As a person with a disability, I REALLY appreciated this! Everything was wonderful, except the bed; the mattress was way too soft and my back was a wreck the next morning. Otherwise, great stay!”

Hotel is next to a quick oil change place that we used since we were traveling and a diner, whose menu looked amazing, but was closed the day we were there sadly. ”

Tub was a little small for a soak, but still good.

“The lady at check-in was friendly. The room was clean, bedding was clean and bug-free. The bed wasn't super comfortable, and the a/c didn't fully cool the room (my wife was happy, I was sweating). For the price though, you can't beat it. ”

“We came to Roanoke for the USA Cycling Mountain bike championships . The Fairfield was convenient to the venue(Hollins University). Restaurants were nearby and also there were more a short drive away. The hotel was clean and quiet and offered a variety of breakfast choices each morning. ”

We were in town for one night to visit the National D-Day Memorial, and this Super 8 is close and convenient to it. The staff was very helpful and friendly, especially with recommendations on nearby dining options. The property is across the highway from a gas station/convenience store and a fast-food restaurant.
