Checking into the hotel was easy as the gentlemen at the front desk greeted us immediately and promptly got us into a better room than we had booked through hotels.com. Hindsight being 20/20 maybe we were better off in the original room. The night was quiet and peaceful until the next morning. My girlfriend broke out with what started as one bump and within hours was covered with excessive bumps on her arms, back, legs and forehead. Her mother is a nurse and immediately suspected bed bugs. We called the hotel that evening and spoke to Justin who said he would pass the information to the general manager to contact us the next day. Upon speaking to Brian, he stated they would have an exterminator come out and get back to us with the findings. Well low and behold, just as suspected BED BUGS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! First the ridiculousness of having told us we needed to call hotels.com to have them issue a refund since it was booked through a third party. After this horrifying experience, all you can say is we'll get you a refund?!?!?!?!?!?! Now after calling hotels.com, they call the hotel to verify before issuing a refund and the hotel says they have no record of it. Now I call the hotel and talk to a RUDE Shakira who tells me the GM Brian isn't in can she help me. I then ask for Justin and she states he doesn't work at the property anymore. I said since last night????? She acted as if I basically was interrupting her solitaire game. STAY AWAY!!!
