Hotel a Mountain Rest

“Unfortunately I believe I paid an inflated price because there was a concert in the area. I wanted to share my experience so that others know what they are getting for whatever price is advertised for your stay. The good: I asked if they could accommodate an early check in at 2 pm vs 4 pm and they agreed to do this. Also, the property is clean and is in a nice quiet and peaceful area. “Everything was perfect 10/10! I will definitely be coming back!”

“Property was clean, but we ran out of hot water once, and since the wifi was out, there was no one to contact.”

“We only stayed for one night and it was a basic hotel stay. Check in was quick and easy, my room was clean and the air got cold. Got a great night sleep then left early the next morning. It was a basic hotel room. Nothing fancy or frilly, but I paid a basic price for a standard room. As long as it’s clean and serves the purpose, I’m happy. I’d definitely stay again if passing through the area.”

“The hotel was very dated. Staff was nice and accommodating. We requested a room change after checking in because the bathroom was not sufficiently cleaned. It was fine for one night but would not book again. On a positive note, breakfast was good.”

“Staff was ok. When we arrived and went to our room the ac was turned off and the room was hot and humid. It took sometime for the room to cool off. The bathroom was not clean. There was short hair in several places in the tub/shower as well as short black hair embedded in one of the towels. “The Mountain House is unique. It is truly an old house that has been modified to include rooms and a restaurant. There are about 8-10 rooms in the Main House where we stayed. There is a separate building called the Bunkhouse out back. The room was clean but very small and tight. More so that I thought was possible but we got used to it.
