“It is very easy to get into Bury St Edmunds without a car, as the bus stop for the 84,86 service is next to the Cadogan Arms.with buses every 30 minutes. The staff are all very helpful and polite too. Plus such very comfy mattresses and good sized en-suite bathroom. The food is very good and very well presented too. Would I use the Cadogan Arms again certainly. ”

“The property was tastefully furnished which reflected its historical past. There was a spacious sitting room for use by guests and a kitchen equipped for the heating and simple cooking of meals. “Nice quick check in,room nice and clean and beds very comfortable.Bathroom nice and clean ,plenty of towels , toiletries provided.Was a hairdryer,only thing would have been nice to have a socket near a mirror when drying your hair.This room we had this time was a lot noiser from all the traffic .Breakfast had plenty of choice ,nice to have brand name cereals,cooked breakfast was okay but mushrooms were nearly raw and fried eggs were quite rubbery looking and hard ”

“The Westgate was easy to find and there was parking around the back of the pub as the town seems to have limited parking. The room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was lovely. The location is a 5 minute walk to the shops .”

“What an excellent country pub. We have a lovely steak meal and used the garden to sit outside and have a drink before retiring to our room. The staff were welcoming, attentive and friendly.Breakfast was well cooked and very enjoyable. Our room was lovely and clean but the toilet flush didn’t work as well as it should. Overall we had lovely meals and a great stay made better by the welcoming friendly and attentive staff”

“After returning to the area after 16 years, we chose this hotel for the personal touch over other chain options. The hotel's staff was amazing and accomodating. They provided great service and every meal was delicious. The Thomas Paine Museum was of special interest and full of information for this history buff. We cant wait to book our next trip.”
