“A very nice highend, very well maintained motel in Nelson. I can tell that they care about their property and keep it up to the standard. The kitchenette has anything you need to cook. However, there is no ventilation system so you have to open windows to air the smell out. Lovely gesture of chocolate for guests in the fridge. Comfortable bed with heat pump in the room. Highly recommended and will be back again.”

“We've been here for few days. The room was really big, clean and comfortable (with dvd player and a lot of dvds to rent from the reception!). Wifi works very well and the owners are very very kind and nice. The best place absolutely in Nelson!!!!!”

“Had a very pleasant stay in their family unit. Room was very spacious, with a nicely renovated bathroom. Got a yummy fresh bottle of milk at check-in, which was a pleasant surprise! Walking distance to the playground and beach. The room was in the front facing the main road so despite the double-glazed windows, you can hear trucks. I would request a room in the back if available next time but otherwise, will stay again!”

“The room was spotless, had a deep jetted tub, mini kitchen set up, nice TV, brand new bed and suited all our needs. The innkeepers were delightful. I needed to do laundry and they had a small but efficient guest laundry. There were also laundry lines and pegs, which was lovely! ”

“Room cleanliness was OK, WIFI was abysmal - had to hot spot laptop to phone for any use. First two nights of a three night stay were ok noise wise, but on the last night when the adjacent room was occupied got absolutely no sleep due to constant talking by the immediate neighbour all night. The room had a shared doorway (was locked) to the adjacent room which maybe a reason it was so noisy? I would recommend checking with Hotel that it doesn't share a neighbouring doorway and hence noise issues...

“While our room, number 7, was well equipped, it looked out onto a close wall so that in wintertime there was no sun, meaning the room was freezing and dark. Although there was a wall panel heater it was in no way sufficient, so for our second night we asked for and received another heater which alleviated the situation. Other than the kitchen the room had been fully refurbished and would have been very nice had it been in a different part of the motel.”

“Nice and close to town, thought would be noisy on main road but wasn't once door closed. Nice wee kitchen, comfy bed. Nice to not have white towels as find white towels so annoying. Would stay there again”

“Walking distance to the airport, might be a bit noisy during the day, get some earphones but aircrafts stopped flying in the night. Great size room. Nice place to relax before heading home.”

“A basic motel. Took a 2 bedroom for 5 of us. Slightly cramped living/dining area. Bathroom was big and spacious but only one. Kitchen in the passageway and though it had everything in it was a bit congested. Traffic noise on the adjoining road was a bit disturbing.”
