Hotel vicino a New River Junction - Blacksburg

“We loved our room. Just needed to stay 1 night to move our daughter out of her dorm...very pleasantly surprised at how big our room was. 2 queen beds & plenty of room to move about. Room was very clean, nice amenities & courteous staff.”

“First, we grossly overpaid because it was graduation weekend and I rented 3 rooms. All the carpet needs to be ripped out. The breakfast and coffee are terrible so don’t pay for that. Not all the toilets in the lobby are functional. Water pressure bad and the temperature isn’t set to allow the water to go very hot or they don’t have the hot water capacity. “The tops of the lamp shades were dusty. The staff at the front desk were not as friendly as some places. The restaurant staff was friendly. I was able to walk to campus which was good.”

“The representatives at the front desk were very friendly and attentive. The bartender, who also waited on tables in the restaurant was fantastic. We ate there several times and he went above and beyond to make our meals special. I wish I could remember his name. We will definitely be back.”

“Hotel was conveniently located to the Virginia Tech campus. Staff were friendly. It the internet did not work very well at all - which was problematic. Room was ok but the hotel jacked up prices due to graduation and we paid over $500 per night for a >3 star experience. Breakfast was ok.”

“The hotel is undergoing renovation. Though it is nicely done, if you have sensitivity to new carpet smell or new paint, then I would not recommend it. Everything is new including furniture, bedding, pillows. Check out is noon but housekeeping came around at 9 AM knocking on doors.”

“This property seems as kept up as possible considering the age. However, you’re hit in the face with a combination of cigarettes and weed the moment you enter. It appears that at least a third of the property has permanent residents. The entrance I was told to use has a door with a broken lock and the panic bar zip tied open with a sign simply saying door lock broken don’t use. “In the bedroom is huge tab that hasn’t been mentioned. The doors outside are not looked and anyone could get easily inside. Our room was on the first floor, and the window wouldn’t lock at all. The place feels very unsecured, even though outside and inside there notifications that security cameras in use. BS. only very strong halogen lights from outside that wouldn’t let you fall asleep.
