Hotel a New Salem

“Rooms, staff , the bar could use some fixing on a broken plastic curtain. It was letting all the cold in. Other than that amazing stay!”

“Innkeeper super kind. Comfortable rooms. Great breakfast. Been here several times.”

“Their website specifically states, “Special arrangements can be made in advance if notified before arrival”. However, the owners were absolutely non-accommodating for a very reasonable request when notified three weeks in advance.”

“Non-smoking room smelled of marijuana- the smell stayed in the room every time we entered you could still smell it during a 2-night stay. The exterior window had a huge glass break in it- ready to shatter if you touched it. Shower and Sink faucets were loose and ready to break off when you turned them on. Very disappointed with condition of the room for a Country Inn & Suites as I have stayed in others”

“Pool has been out of order for better part of a year. Gym and fitness center taped off with poly and painters tape with a paper note taped to door. All walls are marked up and in need of patching. Wallpaper peeling, toilet leaks in bathroom, smoke detector on ceiling dangling and hole access crude and visible. Window unit was problematic fir closed mate control. Bathroom vent fan sounded like a fixed wing old prop plane getting up to speed. I put up a Google review with more detail. This hotel...

“The front desk was often without an attendant for long periods of time. The floors, hallways and elevator were dirty - I was there for 5 nights and they were not cleaned once during that time.”

“Clean but noisy with thin walls”

“If you'd like to stay next to a highway with a steady stream of big rigs going by from early in the morning until late at night, all using their air brakes to slow down for the roundabout, this is the place for you. Don't think about peace and quiet, there isn't any. This is an ancient building located in the center of traffic. It was a mistake to stay there. We don't recommend it for any reason unless you don't need sleep. Now, the antique nature of the building is "cute" but not practical....

“Para un hotel tan caro y no tener desayuno gratis la picsina super apestosa a clorox q parecia esta muy sucia (agua color verde) la puerta d mi habitacion la cerradura no servia ya q cuando salia dl cuarto si yo no la ajustaba no cerraba y cualquier persona podia tener ingreso a mi cuarto la nevera no enfria mucho y a media noche x los pasillos niñas adolecentes corriendo haciendo mucho ruido d risas y gritos fue una noche pesima. ⭐️⭐️”
