Benvenuto nella casa di Alexander Mckee! Un meraviglioso esempio della prima architettura canadese costruita nel 1835. Una volta noto per essere la casa dei maestri e è stato descritto in numerosi libri di Niagara. Posizione eccellente in una delle migliori strade pittoresche nel centro storico di Niagara-On-The-Lake. Parcheggia la tua auto e cammina verso tutto. Passi per Main Street e Old Town, dove si trovano negozi di lusso, ristoranti e Shaw Festival Theatre. Queens Royal Park e il lago Ontario a un isolato di distanza. King Street Gallery, Fort George e il campo da golf più antico del Nord America, proprio in fondo alla strada. Cantine di fama internazionale a pochi minuti di distanza. Rilassati con il caffè del mattino sotto il portico e osserva le carrozze che passano. Vi è un originale pavimento in assi di pino nelle 2 camere da letto superiori recentemente restaurate. Le camere sono dotate di letti confortevoli, con una regina e un letto matrimoniale. Il livello principale ha un accogliente soggiorno e divano letto, sala da pranzo con illuminazione storica e bagno con doccia. Cucina completamente attrezzata, lavanderia, aria condizionata e WIFI gratuito. C'è bellissimo cortile privato alberato con patio in pietra bandiera e barbecue ideale per l'estate divertente. Perfetto gateway romantico, celebrazione dell'anniversario, amici o week-end in famiglia.

Sindy’s place was the perfect location to all the shops, parks, restaurants and water. We never had to use the car at all! The Alexander McKee house is a beautiful historical home that took us back in time. We had everything we needed to enjoy our time there. Stocked kitchen, comfortable beds and furnishings and a gorgeous porch and patio surrounded by lush plants and flowers. We can’t say enough good things about Sindy’s place and will definitely be back next year!

We loved everything about this house and the community. Spotlessly clean, beautifully decorated and furnished in 19th century antiques, just one block from Queen Street and 2 blocks from the waterfront and bike trail access. Wish we lived closer so we could return frequently!

Our stay was wonderful. The house is about a 5 minute walk from all the amenities on Queen Street, but extremely quiet and tucked away.Would highly recommend both the house and the area. Looking forward to visiting again.

We enjoyed our 5-night stay in the beautifully restored Alexander McKee House. The attention to historical detail is truly remarkable. If you close your eyes when the horse-drawn carriages go by, you could almost imagine yourself transported back to 1835. Highly recommend!

A really special experience: enjoy the beautiful town of NOTL while staying one of its original homes! The house is dark but has plenty of lighting, wide wooden floorboards, charming bedrooms.And, it has modern creature comforts like a dishwasher (not terribly common in rentals in this area), full new washer and dryer, modern locking system, off-street parking. Large, comfortable living room with good seating and a TV we didn’t use. Upstairs beds are very comfortable.The home is immaculate and the owners definitely ask a level of respect from visitors to keep it looking great (no shoes on inside — the norm in Canadian homes) to keep it that way.I wish I knew more about the heritage of the house: who was Alexander Mckee, what did it look like in 1835 when the home was built, and more. Overall a great stay, really comfortable and with a twist of history.One important note! The one bathroom that includes the shower is on the main floor off the kitchen, and the wooden stairs to the second floor are rather steep. Not ideal for nighttime trips to the loo, especially if you have any issues with balance or other.

The house was exactly as advertised. Good communication with owner and getting in was easy. We loved sitting in the chairs on the front porch. Very clean and decorated in the period of the home with beautiful wide plank floors. Everything we needed was available. And the location was perfect

This cottage is in a fabulous location! Walk to town and theatres. Very historial and cozy. The steep stairs to the upstairs 2 bedrooms may not be ideal for guests with a mobiliy issue. The bedrooms are large and cozy. Enjoyed our stay and hope to return. Sindy is a fabulous host!

The house was in great location. It was close enough to the shopping district and the theaters, but far enough away to be private. The house was cozy and comfy. It is fully equipped with everything you need. The bathroom is on the first floor while the bedrooms are on the second floor which could be a concern for some people. We had a great time and really enjoyed the vacation house!

Girls getaway ... excellent location! We walked to the golf course for lunch and then visited the shops up and down Queen Street. The property was spotless. While I would describe it as "quaint", it had every ammenity you could want ... microwave, dishwasher, hair dryer, etc. Enjoyed our morning tea on the front porch with delicious scones and pastries purchased in town. There was plenty of hot water for four showers in the morning! Niagara Falls was a short drive away (25 minutes). Spent the afternoon there and enjoyed going through "The Tunnel" (a newer attraction at the Falls). Stopped at Two Sisters Winery (idyllic spot) on the way back to NOTL. We all had a truly wonderful time and can't wait to go back! ❤️

A lovely and charming house for a beautiful neighborhood. It's a three minute walk from Queen Street and a short bike ride from Lake Ontario, the Niagara Parkway, and wineries. It was perfectly clean and well-equipped and full of great period details. The backyard is so pretty. The only room not clearly shown in the pictures is the bathroom, which made me think it was tiny, but it is a good size and very functional. Our hostess provided great recommendations. We will definitely stay here again. A very special place.

We so enjoyed our stay in this comfortable, historic home. Everything you need for an easy stay is provided. We enjoyed relaxing on the peaceful porch. We loved walking down to the beach park. We walked to wonderful dinners in town each night and enjoyed the shops as well. The flowers all over town are gorgeous! We did take a trip over to the Botanical Gardens which was fabulous!
