“We had a wonderful stay at Yarra Valley Lodge and couldn't have been more impressed. The property is set amongst beautiful natural surroundings, creating a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere that feels like a true escape from the city. The spacious room was spotless, comfortable, and offered lovely views of the gardens and estate. The lodge is located on a large estate near the gateway to the Yarra Valley wine region, making it an ideal base for exploring the area.”

“Lovely old style building, rooms were nice and warm despite the cold weather and I loved the bath - though it would have been nice to have some bath salts or bubble bath. Soft mattress which I liked but my partner struggled with. The mini wine and kitkats were a nice surprise however we would have liked to know in advance that the restaurant and bar were not open at night especially given it was a long weekend. It was also a shame that the fire was only on for a short time. We would have liked...

“Fantastic stay, location was great, room was big and tidy, laundry on site for use, bed was comfortable and black out curtains made for a very comfortable nights rest.”

“This is a fantastic place to stay. Kangaroos and large sulphur-crested cockatoos feel like part of the cottage itself. You naturally greet the animals as you see them around, and in the early morning you wake up to unique bird sounds that make you feel as if you are in the middle of the forest. The fireplace in the living room is wonderfully warm, and both the indoor and outdoor dining areas are excellent.”

“The one bed apartment was perfect for a 3 night stay, and for us well located with Coles and DFO a short walk away. The staff were very friendly. ”

“The property has a lots of positives but if you've got mobility issues it's probably not the best choice. They're unable to guarantee a parking spot so its a gamble about whether you can get one or not. Lucky enough to secure one of the few disabled spots but the closest lift had 4 stairs up and 4 down to the lift. Luckily my Mum has a walker and not wheelchair as not sure how would've managed otherwise. But overall the signage was poor and no real direction from staff. Would look for other...

“This hotel is a home for displaced individuals, there were permanent residents in rooms that were not even one star quality. I did not even sleep there as I did not feel safe and instead booked a different motel down the road. My intuition was correct as when I turned up the next day I saw the reception front windows had been smashed in overnight. Definitely avoid this hotel”
