“Everything electronic, except for the refrigerator was unplugged. The bedside lamp was broken. There was soap residue on the shower drain. There was no type of soap products in the bathroom or shower. The mirror was covered with hand prints. Had to have maintenance to turn the heat on.I spent the night there simply because I had driven 600 miles. I would not stayed there if my wife was with me. At least I didn’t see anything crawling. Check in and out process is atrocious.”

“This was my halfway-ish stop on a trip from St. Louis, MO to Mayo. I needed a comfortable room for one night that wouldn’t break my budget, and this hotel delivered. The room was clean and comfortable, and the free hot breakfast was great! “This was a very old hotel. The flooring in the room had many gaps and was peeling from the bottom. The bathroom sink was very small, and did not have a stopper. The small refrigerator was quite noisy. Otherwise, the room was clean. I would only recommend this for the budget traveler.”

“Expedia reservations made at Hampton are treated with rudeness when the manager Jack says "Oh this is a 3rd party reservation and there is nothing I can do to help you with anything at all!" They made no attempt to assist us with a late (next day) arrival on a 2 night stay. We called the Hampton directly and of course the policy is a penalty of the one night but then Hampton cancelled the reservation and treated my wife very coldly when she arrived the next day. The floors and stairs are creaky but adds to the charm of an old home. Laurie is such a great host! We enjoyed her company very much! She made our stay so nice!
