Hotel a Nong Pla Lai

“When we arrived at the hotel, they were nowhere to be found. There were dogs barking but no people. Icalled the number on Travelocity and was told it was not a working number. We had to flag down a neighbor to help us. A young man finally appeared and gave us keys. The place was beautiful but unkempt. The kitchen had two weeks of dishes piled up in the sink. “Restaurant shut at 6:30pm; The fried rice was like porridge; they turned the lights off when we were still in the restaurant area. The beds were really hard and coated in plastic so that you woke up hot and sweaty. The rooms were nice but the rest of the place is badly kept and in disrepair. The pool was unusable and full of green algae.”

“Absolutely fabulous boutique hotel directly on the Klong (canal) Wonderful and friendly hosts looked after us at every stage ensuring our stay was better than we could possibly expect. We caught a long tail boat from the hotel to the floating market and a lovely noodle seller stopped her boat and cooked us noodles for lunch. The hotel was not aware I reserved a room and I had to show Hotels.com confirmation to convince them to let me in.”

“We had an amazing time. A wonderful reception and fantastic staff. Our AC functioned wonderfully and the room was clean and welcoming. We got new water everyday and new towels!! The homemade breakfast is delicious and I can’t say enough about how kind the staff were! If we came back to amphawa we would definitely stay here again. Also super easy to find and great energy!! ”
