Was seen soon as I walked in and being a pub the lovely lady told me straight away there was live music and it might be a bit noisy. Which I didn’t mind as I was going to work. “Road to the place was verg bad. 6inch deep potholes. Pulled into very muddy car park. Was shown to the room which was via a dangerous very badly lit outside staircase. I fell over in the dark via a very bad step, injuring my arm. Ws wers so dissapointed that we left early without breakfast. The room itself, although old fashioned, was acceptable and comfortable. Hiwevef, we cannot comment about breakfast as ws did not stay. Very disappointing experience overall.”

“Hotel personnel were very helpful and friendly. Room, Toilet and shower very clean. Tea and coffee in the room was always replenished. The fan system air and refrigeration from the kitchen in the Beefeater was very loud especially at 05:30 AM. All in all I can recommend this hotel. 8 minutes with a Taxi to the train station.”

“I’ve stayed her over 4 years ago on a regularly. I’m glad to say the fantastic food and service hasn’t changed. Unfortunately there is no car park at rear of hotel now seating area. ”
