“I enjoyed every minute of my stay. The staff were exceptional, friendly, helpful. Nothing was too much trouble. Continental breakfast of pastries, fruit, yogurt, cold meats, cheese toast. Plenty to choose from.
We had a standard room which was spacious and nicely decorated. Large shower room. The plug sockets had been upgraded to include USB and phone charger sockets so you don’t need a plug.
Just a few minutes walk to the steep hill and then onto the shopping centre and round to the waterfront.

Right from the start you feel that it is going to be different. With a private carpark, accessed via the No Through Road off Market Place, you are in a courtyard with two impressive stone Gothic Revival buildings - the old Sessions House (1841) and the matching County Hall of 1927 - which now houses the hotel.
