“This is the second time at The Witching Post inn. We love the location.. easy to get to Whitby, Staithes, Robin Hood bay and Goathland. Pete and his team were great hosts and looked after us. “Booked last minute. Wasn’t sure what to expect. It was great! Nice friendly welcome, good size family room, lots of tea, coffee, hot chocolate and biscuits in the room. Located just a 5 minute stroll to centre of Thirsk. Excellent breakfast in the morning was the icing on the cake. Would have no hesitation in recommending to others. ”

“Great place to stay, only there for one night but will be back for longer next time. Room was lovely, bed was very comfortable and the large shower room was an added bonus. Located in the centre of Ripon so access to shops, bars and restaurants was easy and with the added bonus of on site parking. The food in the restaurant was excellent, a real taste of Italy. The staff were also very friendly and welcoming.”

“Room, breakfast and service all very good. Site difficult to find if you are not familiar with the area. Using the postcode in the sat nav wasn't a good idea, better to use the signs for the forbidden corner which is on the same site.”

“Lovely clean fresh room. Everything you need for a stay, there was fresh milk, juice, bread,butter., jam in the fridge ready for breakfast. Toaster and microwave in the room too. Plus tea and coffee ”

“I booked the Pickled Parson for an overnight stay. The hotel and Sedgefield were both lovely. The staff were excellent, welcoming and explained all we needed to know at check-in, which included completing a breakfast form and time for breakfast. This wasn't needed immediately, but sometime before the end of the evening.
