“Excellent, clean, modern and well-appointed flat. Lovely views and convenient to Oban and the isles. The flat is so lovely decorated and completely updated. Free parking and a lift made luggage transfer a breeze. Would definitely stay again! ”

“Upon arrival at the gates, a herd of deer greeted us. The cottage, the appointments, the location, the tranquility did not disappoint. As birdwatchers, we enjoyed morning walks with various birdsongs. We would definitely return.”

“Fantastic place. Would highly recommend staying here. Cosy, clean and all the facilities you need. So if want to cook Dave and Co. have put a lot of thought into making it a home from home. Everything you need is there. If cooking is not for you there's always the microwave! Or you could visit the island's Gealic Heritage centre. Great food. We walked to it.... superb walk taking in the flora and fauna. So peaceful. Good that there is good WiFi... Unfortunately we all seem to want to be...

“lovely location, some of the kitchen items could have been of a better quality but did not deflect from the stay.The weather was not kind to us so unable to take full advantage of the walks around the area but enjoyed watching the wild life while in the dry and warmth.Correspondence was excellent right up to the day we arrived.”

“This is a marvelously idyllic location with sheep in the hills and birds soaring about. The peace and quiet were much appreciated, yet it was only a quick 10-minute drive into the heart of Oban. It was an excellent base of operations for exploring the nearby islands, and I would love to go back and just stay as a sort of retreat.”

“Perfect location. Big garden for the dog. Plenty space in the house. Heating and hot water on tap. Would definitely book again”

“We could not have enjoyed Garden Cottage more! Thoroughly modern and comfortable inside and in a charming, peaceful setting. The staff at Melfort Village were so kind and helpful also. I would recommend this cottage/Melfort Village to anyone.”

“Everything was great. The only thing that was an issue was the drive was blocked on arrival, but was moved the next day and the toilet seat was loose.”

“Amazing cottage in a stunning island setting! Views are spectacular. Cottage is beautiful, comfortable, clean, and well equipped, including a very nice library of books and videos. A true vacation "get away", as no automobiles are permitted on the island. Very low key. We especially enjoyed hiking around the island and relaxing on the property. The ferry runs precisely on schedule and is a quick 3 minute ride to the neighboring island and car park. The owner provided explicit instructions...

"The right place for a one night stay. Close to the ferry pier and the fish market. The building is old without lift, reception in the pub at ground floor. The room has everything you need in a tiny space. Windows haven't been renewed, very hard to open. Usb plugs by the bed are a smart idea but unfortunately not working. I asked for luggage deposit next morning as I was on a day tour (like 80% of tourists in Oban) but I wasn't allowed due to a private event. Overall a good value for money if you look for an essential stay. "
