“Comfortable, clean room in a quaint old pub. Food was OK, but pricey. The most disappointing thing, given that the pub is owned by Adnams, was the quality of the beer. I tried all three of their staple brews, all of which I know and like, but they were all flat and lifeless. They were also very expensive given that they were only brewed ‘up the road’!!”

“Clean rooms with everything you would expect in most hotels. Complimentary water in the room was welcomed especially as we stayed when temperatures were higher. Only upgrade that would be helpful is air-conditioning although we were lucky we had a cross draught with the window and balcony doors which helped hugely. “Room was clean and fully equipped for a quick morning coffee which is helpful. Staff was nice and check in and out were very smooth. The only problem is that room isolation is not very good so we could hear noises from the outside and inside the property late at night. Would recommend irrespective of it. ”

“Situated near the station and at the top of the main drag, this hotel is in dire need of some tlc. They do appear to have a programme of renovations in hand, but our corner room had several cracked window panes and dated furnishings. The sink does not have a mixer tap, and the hot water is scalding, while there is almost no water pressure for the shower. “Lovely boutique hotel comfortable bed and fresh room. amazing bathroom room,”

“We thought we’d booked a room and were given a suite on two floors which was novel. The staff were great and the breakfast fine. Dinner was excellent although a little expensive although I may be poor of date. We didn’t have time to try the pool but it looked good. You do have to book a time slot. We would stay again but prefer a room in the main house.”
