“surprisingly this lodge has been on elbow lake for a century. The location is fairly isolated and has good access to the lake. It is the type of place that beckons as a near wilderness experience. We will try to return in the future.”

“The accommodations in the “Eagles Nest” were perfectly fine for our 2 night stay. If we go again we would try to get one of the cabins for a more secluded stay as they are a little bit away from the lodge vs staying in the lodges. Overall the property and room were very quiet, the owners were very nice and it was perfect for seeing the Black Bears in Orr, MN.”

“We spent a long weekend in the Whitepine room at the lodge and loved it! The view was incredible. The beach and the water are just about unmatched by any other lake I’ve been to. The water activities available were great for the kids. The family running the place is adorable and work super hard. One note would be that the restaurant is not open. We would definitely return!”

“The lodge was filthy. Dishes and cookware were filthy. A few dish towels. The steps were all the same color and pattern, I fell into the landing. I hurt my left hip, leg and elbow. Bob was our contact person and he was helpful and accommodating. The property was a long way down a dirt road. There were no fish in the lake!”

“This was the worst VRBO experience I have ever had. The day of my stay I had to message for directions to the cabin. Directions were not sufficient and I had no cell service. I ended up paddling to the cabin (to the “left of the dock” as I was told). It was raining and I couldn’t find the key that was supposed to be under the steps of the deck. I had no cell service and disk was approaching so I had to drive back to town and call. The host didn’t respond to my messages. I called VRBO and they...
