“The facilities and location were in one word "fantastic"! The views are spectacular. You only hear and see some sheep. No cars or lorries driving by. Absolutely zen. Go get some hiking-routes, good food and visit the café's (like Eric's) in Liverpool!”

The cottage is both traditional with exposed beams and the thick stone walls you would expect but with modern touches for comfort. “From booking to check-out, it has been a wonderful experience and we didn't want to leave!We're the "city" type of people so we had pre-arrival jitters. “We had a wonderful stay. The hosts were very accommodating and showed us through the house upon arrival. The location was amazing within walking distance from all the major attractions. We spent lots of time up on top floor patio that looks out over the river and the foot bridge. We will definitely be back. ”

“Lovely cottage but not where Expedia show it in the town centre. Longden common is nice and the red lion pub just down the road is a good place to eat. Stairs a very steep so something to be aware of not mentioned in details about the rental. ”

“The cottage was in a perfect location for us. The town centre of Ruthin is within walking distance and there are many interesting destinations a short drive away. The cottage was clean and all the essentials were provided. The bedding and towels were of good quality and the bed was very comfortable. There is secure off-road parking and the garden is fenced around. There is a tall step between the back door and the gravelled garden, but Ruthin is hilly so this should not be a surprise! ”

“Lovely feel to the cottage. Well equipped and spotlessly clean. Wifi a bit sketchy at times but pretty good on the whole. We loved the outside verandah which was beautiful in the afternoon and evening sun and great for a BBQ. ”

“Really enjoyed our stay in this lovely traditional cottage. The village is lovely, you can buy your essentials from the village shop (Post Office). The cottage is well situated within the village and there are lovely walks nearby. Although the weather was brilliant, the nights were getting chilly so we welcomed the log burner which kept us nice and cosy. The host was on hand with information about the area and advised us about the best places to visit in this beautiful part of the country....

“Lovely place for a stay but ruined by blatant dishonesty. Owners advertise on multiple platforms that there is an indoor pool - they even have pics, but the "pool" is apparently at an indoor leisure club 4 miles away. Absolute jokers. Even when i contacted the club- i still had to pay for going swimming. Such a disappointing stay and ive lodged refund request from hotels.com”

"Nonostante la gentilezza e disponibilità dello staff la camera che ci è stata assegnata aveva problemi allo scarico del wc ed il tappo della doccia ha bloccato lo scarico dell’acqua. Malgrado la segnalazione e l’intervento dei ragazzi i problemi sono rimasti. Fortunatamente abbiamo dormito una notte soltanto. L’albergo merita molto. Bello l’arredamento, pulito. A 15min dalla stazione ed in centro. Dovrebbero concentrarsi un po’ più sulla manutenzione. Comunque lo consiglio, magari il problema è stato solo sulla nostra camera. "

"Arrivati tardo pomeriggio la stanza era fredda e il terzo letto non preparato. Mia moglie aveva altra stanza: consegnate le chiavi ha trovato la stanza sporca e non preparata (biancheria letto del cliente precedente). Le hanno cambiato la stanza (ore 21.30) e ha trovato stanza fredda (la finestra era aperta). La prima colazione si può migliorare: il succo d’arancia e’ terribile."
