Great location, bad everything else

Great place to stay in Panama. Make sure you get a room with good a/c and with city views. The pool views rooms are surprinsingly noisy. When arrives I was supposed to get a king size bed and they placed me in a queen bed bedroom. Then i was sent to a room with a/c problems. The following morning around 6:00 AM power went out aparently only in my room. I asked for a change and took them 2 and a half hours to place me in another room in the same floor, which had power. The staff was very rude. If you want a better hotel for the same price, go to Hotel El Panama across the street. Continental hotel was once great, but not anymore the only good thing was the breakfast.

Hotel needs to be remodeled.

The hotel is located in a busy street, and every morning is traffic sound and horn beeping. The A/C in the room is kind of warm. The only good thing about the hotel is the free parking. The wifi sucks, and your access expire the night before checkout at 12am instead of 12pm.

Pro: The cost per night.
Contro: General environment, and services to clientele.
Posizione: Location is good, with feel of security. Several casinos were accessible, including the subway for transportation.
The services were minimal. The staff was pleasant, but not very helpful. Having stayed at this hotel multiple times in years past, the obvious decline is notable.

gute Lage nahe an Metrostation

Pro: nur die Lage, der Preis und das Personal hat mir gut gefallen und wenn man spanisch spricht, dann gehts. An der Rezeption sind alle sehr hilfsbereit.
Personal sehr freundlich, man sollte aber etws spanisch können, dann kann man den Service ausnützen, der geboten wird. Gleich ein bischen Trinkgeld, dann hat man auch einen besseren Service. Mietwagen gibt es mehrere ganz in der Nähe und zu guten Preisen

I stayed for a day and almost didn't even make it to my room. Our flight got in at 5am which is usual for an overnight flight. This apparently is not known to the hotel receptionist, who proceeded to tell us that the checkin was at 3pm and she therefore could not give us a room. After 15 minutes of telling her that it was impossible for us to wait until 3pm since that would take away our whole day and that it was ridiculous since the planes always get in at that time and I have never had a problem getting a room, she told us that for a $22 early checkin charge, she would give us a room. There is nothing in Expedia that says that there is an early checkin fee. We obviously paid it. Next we went to the breakfast buffet which was $17 each, and not really worth it. There was bacon, cold eggs, some cold cuts, and some fruits. Not worth it at all. The hotel is very old. Although the room was clean, the hotel floor and carpet were old and dirty. The bellmen were the nicest people. We took a taxi cause I didn't realize there was uber in Panama, and although the taxi man was very nice and was able to Pick us up both times, the taxi was very expensive and it was in cash. Other than that, there was not much to see in Panama City. It was smacksdab in the middle of the financial district where every other building was either a bank or a hotel.

Beautiful Ironwork

The ironwork in the hotel is as beautiful as it looks in the pictures. The room was fine but had a little balcony that could barely be stood on. We went to the pub for a light dinner. The bartender came over to our table pretty quickly at first. However, she stood there and chatted with either her friends are other customers for a good 10 minutes while we waited to order. Finally another server came over and took the order. They both then disappeared for about 15 to 20 minutes while we waited for our food. Others customers had come into the restaurant while all of the staff were gone and weren't served either. I wouldn't bother paying extra for the breakfast buffet. It has your basic cold scrambled eggs, bacon, American prossessed cheese food slices, etc. The fruit was delicious!

Posizione: Si andas con poco presupuesto o no quieres pagar "lujos" la saliendo del hotael queda una de las estaciones del Metro (Iglesia del Carmen)
El Hotel es uno de los más visibles en la gran ciudad de Panamá, cuentan con amplias habitaciones y una vista inmejorable, el personal es muy amistosoy atento
