not what I expecred

I stayed for a day and almost didn't even make it to my room. Our flight got in at 5am which is usual for an overnight flight. This apparently is not known to the hotel receptionist, who proceeded to tell us that the checkin was at 3pm and she therefore could not give us a room. After 15 minutes of telling her that it was impossible for us to wait until 3pm since that would take away our whole day and that it was ridiculous since the planes always get in at that time and I have never had a problem getting a room, she told us that for a $22 early checkin charge, she would give us a room. There is nothing in Expedia that says that there is an early checkin fee. We obviously paid it. Next we went to the breakfast buffet which was $17 each, and not really worth it. There was bacon, cold eggs, some cold cuts, and some fruits. Not worth it at all. The hotel is very old. Although the room was clean, the hotel floor and carpet were old and dirty. The bellmen were the nicest people. We took a taxi cause I didn't realize there was uber in Panama, and although the taxi man was very nice and was able to
Pick us up both times, the taxi was very expensive and it was in cash. Other than that, there was not much to see in Panama City. It was smacksdab in the middle of the financial district where every other building was either a bank or a hotel.
