“Really enjoyed my stay at Lavande Hotel! Super convenient location close to Guangzhou East Railway Station, metro, city center and Canton Fair Complex. Check-in was quick and easy, front desk staff were so nice and helpful. Room was clean and comfortable. Great choice for business travelers, definitely coming back!”

“The hotel is ok or below ok for the price. There was the smoke smell present all the time in the room. The staff does not speak English, but they used the electronic translator, which helped. The breakfast items were tasty (several kinds of bao-tzy, also dumplings, oranges, sanwiches). The thing was helpful- self-service laundry without charge. The gym is a nich in the wall, but I used it, it was ok. The internet in the room was terrible, very intermittent.”

“I liked that there was a laundry room where you could do your laundry, and they would fold it for you and bring it to your room. I also liked that they had a robot that could deliver your takeout or other deliveries. I disliked that the gym had very little equipment and only cardio machines. It should at least have a pull-up machine or a cable machine. I also disliked that packages sent there had to be picked up by yourself instead of being handled by the staff. “First room we were given was weird shape. Advised front desk immediately we wanted room change. This was completed mid day next morning. This room was exactly what we expected. We were staying for month, so needed good room. Close to everything! Shops, Beijing road, underground. Safe in room, but as this was 'free standing' seemed pointless to use, but as is usual in China camera's everywhere so security not really an issue. Without room change, and weird safe I would give this place a big 5...

“The hotel wasn’t too bad for the price. The breakfast was good and delicious, with a nice variety of food and fruits. However, the rooms, hallways, and even the elevator smelled strongly of cigarette smoke. We stayed there for one week, and on two days they didn’t clean our room. When we came back in the evening, the beds were not made and the towels hadn’t been changed. I complained to the staff, but they only said “sorry.” Also, none of the staff spoke English — they just used a translation...
