“We always stay at Hampton when we travel. However, recently, I have begun to notice an unpleasant trend. Has there recently been a company memo sent out to your locations that require the front desk staff NOT to smile and NOT to in anyway indicate that they are happy the customer is checking in?? Good Lord, is their job so miserable that they act like they have been on duty for 36 straight hours? I am a business owner and I realize how hard it is to get decent employees. “A well-appointed house on a canal in a rural area close ( a few minutes) to Port Clinton, with plenty of room for the four of us. Our stay was very short but would definitely choose it again. One point, one of the beds is a full-size mattress turned sideways so very wide but not suitable for adults unless you sleep "across" it. We were there to bird the famous Magee Marsh and Ottawa NWR, it was great for that and if you have a boat you can tie up right there.”
