“We only stayed for one night for my husband’s birthday and wished we could stay longer. Excellent location, walking distance to many restaurants, shops, lake. A lot of restaurants are short staffed, so try to be patient. Super convenient Biggby location right there. Staff was friendly and informative. “The amenities were adequate, breakfast was ample, readily available, with a very good selection (Waffles, cold cereals, hard boiled eggs, scrambled eggs, yogurt, coffee, orange juice, fresh fruits, and more. The bed was comfortable, lighting was sufficient, and temperature controls worked as needed. There were other amenities which we did not need or use, such as a laundry area, vending machines, pool, and lounging area near lobby. “Perfect hotel for me, my partner, and dog! Other hotels and airbnbs in the area were extra expensive and/or not pet-friendly due to LDW, and we didn’t want to spend $1,000+ for just a 3-night stay. If you’re looking for a hotel that’s affordable, perfectly located, has a lot of outdoor activities, very dog friendly, and a midwest/vintage charm, Sun & Sand is a great choice. “This hotel has been to hell and back. We come here regularly and even brought my family here in July in seven rooms. The new owners have been updating the hotel and we can see the improvements every time we come. The staff is wonderful and really try to make our stay enjoyable. ”
