“The room was clean but the whole place smelled terrible and was really run down”

“About as good as the photos show. The carpet was dirty and needs to be replaced. There were some bugs (doors are exterior so to be expected, I guess?), but no bed bugs. Sheets seemed clean. There was a spider and web over one bed. Queen beds (2) were each up against a wall or window on one side, so small. Everything was very old and smelled old. We think the paint on the outside is new. The woman who runs the motel is very sweet and we can tell she’s trying hard. Making updates where she can....

“Hotel was horrible. Carpet was wet, room felt and smelt damp. Our room had an armchair with a seat cushion that didn’t match the chair and the vinyl on the cushion was all ripped up. Big hole in the carpet. Bedding was stained. There was a mysterious sauce stain on the phone handle. The phone didn’t have a way to contact the front desk. Ceiling had holes both in the room and hallway. The outside siding was severely damaged”

“Our stay was disappointing overall. Although this is a non-smoking hotel, the room had a strong smoke smell that was difficult to tolerate. The odor was so pervasive that even the clothes in our suitcases smelled like smoke after our stay. The TV remote was also broken, and the room felt humid despite the air conditioning running, which made it less comfortable. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and we appreciated their kindness. However, for the price we paid, we expected a cleaner,...

“Very clean room and plenty of towels. Clean bathroom. The front desk staff were attentive and approachable. The kitchen staff were friendly and helpful. Remember to tip your housekeeper.”

“Suite comes stocked with plates, utensils, pot and pan. We like how they had dish soap and a scrubber too. Pretty much the basic stuff you need to cook and clean up after. The grill outside came in handy and next door is a gas station and Mexican restaurant. Very convenient location.”
