Hotel a Pinehurst

“Stayed in the motel queen room for one night… that’s the good part. Gena’s is good for one night given the location and the restaurant that serves excellent food. You need to be patient and quite sporty regarding the room. Everything is quite old and we found a wad of hair in the sheets, the bathroom is tiny and the toilet felt unstable when sitting on it. We asked for a hair dryer and the staff simply replied “no”. It’s an experience for one night, I don’t recommend for longer stays.”

“Excellent location for visiting Sequoia and Kings Canyon NP. The host was attentive, the room was perfect with a fridge, microwave, coffee maker, and place settings for 2. I just hope the toilet paper was chosen for the septic system and not because they wanted that brand. I am glad I arrived in the daylight, the short dirt road in would be tricky in the dark the first time. Dining recommendations were spot on - good food, very friendly service, and close by. I wouldn't hesitate to book here...

“Positives: Cozy cabin with easy self check-in. Beautiful views and a peaceful setting in good weather. Spacious interior and a good-sized TV (which covers a fireplace — not listed as an amenity, but would be a nice plus if functional). Clean overall and thoughtfully stocked with a snack basket. Kitchen notes: Stove, oven, and dishwasher are very old but functional. Cookware is very worn; only one pot was really usable. We were fortunate to have brought our own Instant Pot. Some cabinets...
