“Do not book this hotel thru expedia it was 10% more than they charge at the front desk”

“We had to use a door lock code to enter the room. We were given the code by calling the number on a sign. We loved the outdoor fire pit and grills. The motel was very simple but had everything we needed. There was a back area where we could walk the dogs. The room was clean and the area quiet.”

“Great location to easily reach Acadia. However the room was too small and not that clean. ”

“Good hotel overall: clean, spacious rooms, well organized, and a convenient free shuttle to downtown every 15 minutes. Unfortunately, my “ocean view” balcony room was right in front of the air conditioning units and the restaurant’s exhaust chimney. Constant noise and fried food smell made it impossible to sleep well or enjoy the balcony. These rooms should not be priced the same as unobstructed ocean views. Poor management decision that shows little attention to guest comfort.”

“Nice motel, you can reach the harbor in 10 minutes on foot or easily with the bus. Very good choice if you plan to visit the Acadia National Park or for whale watching or other activities in Bar Harbor.”

“We had a perfect stay at this beautiful hotel. Everyone was so pleasant and friendly. The room was perfect, clean and comfy. The location and view can’t be beat. The breakfast was amazing, best complimentary breakfast we have ever experienced. We loved the heated indoor pool and hot tub. Overall great experience. We hope to be back soon!”

“I feel the breakfast should have had more options. I was surprised that my room was not cleaned and made up daily. The parking seemed adequate. The view from my room was great. It was probably the best thing about staying there along with the receptionist who was extremely helpful in making tour reservations.”

“I had the loveliest stay at the Cleftstone Inn. To start, the staff is welcoming, kind and attentive. From the moment you check in, you feel right at home as you get acquainted with the property and your room. The property has such a homie feeling and my room was quaint but chic. Breakfast and tea time had to be my favorite part of the Inn as there were always different options to choose from and everything was so tasty! I will definitely be returning to the Inn and bringing friends with me....

“Amazing accommodations in a great location. Within walking distance of the shops, restaurants, and pier. The condo was comfortable, quaint and spotless — a wonderful place to unwind for the day. Eric and Tim were prompt in responding to my questions about the condo — which was greatly appreciated! We will definitely be back!”
