“Great location for public transit. My room was surprisingly quiet. Building is older but decent condition. Breakfast was typical, space for breakfast was good.”

“The property is quite large, and they have various room options, ranging from economy setups to family and royal suites, so there is a variety of pricing and layouts depending on what you’re looking for. It also has a lot of amenities, like a shared living room and kitchen, free Wi-Fi, and a basketball area. We had pleasant time and Empress is a stunning beautiful lady in an put. Highly recommend this Empress Palace ( Hotel stays ) to friends.”

“The 1 night room charge was excessively overpriced due to FIFA going on in Vancouver. We had no reason to stay in Surrey but it was the best hotel option within 1 hour’s drive for BC Ferries to get back home to Nanaimo. I’m still feeling sick about being forced to spend 3-5x the normal price of a hotel because of soccer fans! It might have been cheaper just to change our flights so in the future that’s what I will do to avoid being screwed like this hotel charge was.”

“First, the positives: great location, very clean, nicely appointed, and a generally friendly staff. Items needing improvement: room thermostat didn't function well. The room was always cold, no matter what it was set to. The bathroom fan didn't work at all. Even though staff came by quickly to "fix" it, the water pressure in the shower was very low, making hard to rinse your hair. The staff was overwhelmed and under-prepared for weekend breakfasts. The TV was buffering often, making it difficult...

“Location not in downtown, but inna nice area with all comforts and accessible via Skytrain. Nice staff at the reception, my special note to Alex, good foid at breakfast. Room a bit out to date, especially considering the price paid. ”
