“The room was excellent very clean and modern Bed was very comfortable The view from the room was great as you could see the sea Fridge in the room a bonus Breakfast very good the food well cooked You could have a takeaway that you can eat in the dining room, the host Mandy was so friendly and helpful A small bar in the dining room great to have a drink in the evenings Highly recommend”

“We chose the hottest days of the year to stay so the room was boiling, fortunately we took a fan with us but the owner also gave us another too. The room was perfectly adequate for our needs good shower but the toilet flush was slow, plenty of tea/coffee. Nothing was too much trouble for the owner. Easy breakfast idea in dining room lots of choice (but no cooked) we knew b4 so never worried us. I thought it was good value for the money more than happy. Big bonus there was parking and 10 min walk...

“2nd stay, house on a side road just up from the harbour with free parking if you are lucky, but parking nearby is £6.30 in a car park very close if you are unlucky and cannot park outside. House is comfortable without being stuffy, has all mod cons and a small backyard for smokers or eating breakfast on a warm day. No doubt we will return in the near future.”

“I thought the hotel was ridiculously overpriced for what it was. The property is run down. There was peeling paint in our room and rust in the loo and on the radiator. The other side of the hotel had a cool breeze but our room was small and stifling in the heat. The bathroom was tiny with an almost miniature hand basin. The pillows were hard. There were no amenities such as toiletries, not even a box of tissues. The staff were pleasant enough, but the hotel is priced like a luxury country house...

“Room was spacious, great shower. However the room we were in (an upgraded room) was over the kitchen and every morning at 7am something started up and all we could hear was the hum of it which is annoying when you would like a lie in. We ate both nights in the pub. The food is good but very pricey. On our 2nd night we both had a special which was gammon, 1egg, chips, pinapple and piccalily. I pointed out that it said two eggs but we only got one each. The waiter was apologetic but just said it...

“They should state there’s not drying machine but besides that it was an amazing stay. My group and I really enjoyed the place as well as the local area. Excellent experience overall, and I think this place made our first international trip very enjoyable.”

“Had a great 6 night stay here. Check in was very easy, key safe on the wall outside. As soon as we got inside the cottage, which had a lovely warm welcoming cosy feel to it. We loved all the little extra decorations scattered around. Well stocked with plates, glasses cutlery etc.. Even some extras that we didn't expect like the smoothie blender and spice rack. Only downside was all the towels were bundled in a heap on the bathroom floor. Not sure what had happened here, whether the cleaners had...
