Near metro, far from downtown and no english

I'm from Mexico and I'd never been to Prague before so it was difficult for me to understand how transportation and everything worked. When I first got there the lady in check in didn't understand English and couldn't speak it either, so did the lady in the night shift.. I needed help understanding how to use transportation because it's 40 minutes walking to downtown, and none of the staff were able to explain. I know Prague is very safe and that's why I walked every day but the place where this hotel is its very dark at night and Sonia the entrance to the hotel so sometimes I didn't feel safe, besides in that area so far no one speaks English. The last day I wanted to book my airport transfer (which i had already paid) but I needed help, the staff didn't help me, didn't let me use their phone, didn't try calling gray line either. So I finally had to go by metro (which a Spanish your guide had to explain to me because the hotel staff couldn't).
The hotel itself is simple and nice, the bed was comfortable and clean, the bathroom was very clean and big.
