“ All is well until the hotel decided to host Passover for about 1500 people that were coming in and started shutting down our accommodations. We ended up with three restaurants left on our last two days because they were accommodating the group coming in. They also forgot about their regular guest and were more attentive for the ones coming in, which was very disappointing.”

The beach is actually very nice with cabanas for shade and good service from The bartenders. Long and difficult check in, food is not great at all, drinks never taste that good. Long waits for eating dinner bc you can’t make a reservation so be prepared to show up early and wait for very mediocre food. ”

“This was my first time in Cancun and it was great experience at Villa de Palmar. My froom was big for two with kitchen, 2 bathrooms, large living room and bed room. Everything was good, room service was good, fast and professional. Food was good too but they didn’t have much options for you. But if you are not picky eater, it would be good for you. ”

“We’ve been to 3 separate RIU locations and this was by far our least favorite. However, I think this is a case of you get what you pay for and realizing this is more of a younger demographic party resort. The rooms are very basic and outdated. The themed restaurants are only open for dinner whereas at other RIUs they are open for lunch as well. Otherwise you are stuck with the buffet, which was lacking more costly items like seafood.
